Lockdown Art and Creativity in Scotland Exhibition
Donald Thomson is a pianist, composer and freelance music editor living in East Lothian. He plays for the Dalkeith Singers and the Southside Choir in Edinburgh. He has composed four books of Scottish piano music, the Celtic Piano Series published by EVC Music Publications Ltd. and also written several choral and instrumental pieces.
He decided that setting up his digital piano in the front garden might give the street a bit of a boost during these uncertain times, and played five consecutive Thursday evening 'gigs from the garden' which were very well received in Ormiston as well as being broadcast live on social media to viewers across the world.
